BLF key configuration

Print

This procedure explains how to configure BLF keys from the 3CX web application.
If you have any questions, please contact support@evok.com or use the contact form on the website(Contact form).

Go to configuration page

To access the configuration pages, you need to log in to 3CX. The URL usually ends with ".3cx.ch/webclient". You'll find a full explanation of where to get the URL and login details on the page: Configuration-of-3cx-application.

Once logged into the web application, you can access the configuration page. This is available in the options on the left, by clicking on the ellipsis "..." and then on "Settings", as shown in image 1.

BLF key configuration

When you're on the settings page, you should see the General tab, with the name and extension, as well as the image associated with the profile. You can then access the BLF tab, bottom left (Image 2, bullet 1).

Location and information to be selected for BLF configuration

Image 2: BLF access and configuration

Once in the BLF tab, you'll see the numbered lines on the right. These lines define the setting of each button around the screen on the landline phone.

Use the "BLF" option to show a red LED if the person is already on the phone.

To set up the buttons, choose the BLF option (image 2, bullet 2), then select the contact to be associated with this button from the drop-down list on the right (image 2, bullet 3). Between 25 and 30 contacts can be set as shortcuts on the phone to be displayed on the buttons. Any additional contacts set will not be displayed.

Configuration of BLF keys on expansion module

If this number of contacts is insufficient, you can purchase an extension module, as shown in image 3. This module simply provides additional buttons, in order to record more contacts.

The numbers follow those of the telephone. If the last button on the landline phone is number 25, the extension starts at number 26. Set-up is identical to that of the landline telephone, by selecting BLF and then the contact to be associated with the button.
