This procedure explains the methodology to be used to add contacts to the company's 3CX telephone directory.
A global directory is one that is shared by everyone.

Go to contact page

To access the configuration pages, you need to log in to 3CX. The URL usually ends with ".3cx.ch/webclient". You'll find a full explanation of where to get the URL and login details on the page: Configuration-of-3cx-application.

Once logged into the web application, you can access the contacts page. This can be found in the options on the left, marked "Contacts".

Display contacts in the global directory (visible to the whole company)

From the "Contacts" page, you can choose which contacts are displayed in the top right-hand corner.
The default setting is "All contacts".

You can change this by clicking on the arrow and selecting the desired option.
To display company-wide contacts, click on "PBX company directory" .

You'll see all the contacts available to you and your colleagues on the page.

Add contacts to the company phone book

To add a contact to the company's 3CX phone book, simply go to the contacts page.
A "+" symbol appears in the top left-hand corner.

If you can't click on it, you don't have the right to edit the contact list.

Once you've clicked on it, a contact creation page opens.
Next, fill in the relevant contact information and select the desired directory.

If the contact is to be shared between all users, select "Company".

Once again, if you can't check "Company", you don't have the right to edit the directory in question.
