We offer managed dedicated virtual servers, you can outsource your servers to our two high-performance data hubs with Swiss TIER III and IV certification; with Hypervisior VMware ESX based hosting services. Moreover, our team of engineers will assist you from the design of your IaaS or PaaS infrastructure architecture and provide advice on the best security strategy practices for your virtual environment.
With no investment costs for hardware and software, you benefit from a state-of-the-art server infrastructure offering you high-availability and high performance. EVOK has partnerships with both Microsoft SPLA and Citrix CSP software publishers which provide specific licensing packages dedicated to providers of hosted solutions. These partnership agreements offer the flexibility to lease licenses to the end customer on a pay-as-you-go basis. We offer 4 types of virtual machines available with the current Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems :
vServer B-Class : Inexpensive option for low workloads
vServer D-Class Standard : Not replicated 1 DC, recommended for heavy workloads
vServer D-Class Advanced : Geo-replicated 2 DC, recommended for heavy workloads
vServer N-Class vServer N-Class : Recommended for CAD applications or those requiring graphics power
Performance and disk space are scalable, according to your changing needs. Data is backed up daily in a remote datacenter away from the main site. Choose the default retention period of 6 or 12 months. Class Advanced virtual machines are geo-replicated machines across two datacenters, the default standard replication is every 4 hours into the replication datacenter. EVOK has an extremely powerful infrastructure that allows the virtual machines to be restarted in the disaster recovery facility.
Monitoring and maintenance of the entire network security infrastructure, the datacenter and Hypervisors are included in the service. Depending on the chosen solution, the maintenance and operation of the operating system as well as patch management and support for applications and services are also included.
EVOK proposes different secure access methods to your IaaS or PaaS infrastructure via our firewall clusters for site-to-site VPN access or the Pulse Secure VPN-SSL platform in HTTPS and 2FA dual authentication billing, virtual machines are manageable with tools such as Microsoft RDP or SSH.
PaaS or IaaS infrastructures are separated virtually by VLANs unique to each specific client, multiple VLANs can be assigned to a single client, and access between them is managed through Juniper Access Appliances. A range of different Internet traffic capacities is available for direct access or through the PaloAlto security platform, which offers filtering with SSL decryption over the https protocol.
Ultra FastStorage
This type of SAN storage uses the fastest technology on the market combining SSD and FMD Flash. Technologies : HybridFlash/FMD/SSD
Processors (vCPU)
The virtual server is based on VMware ESX with the latest generation DELL Blade servers, Intel Xeon® Scalable 2nd Generation processors reaching up to 4.0 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology.
Daily backups with min. 14 days retention.
Each server is backed up daily in a remote Swiss EVOK datacenter. The basic duration of vServer image retention is 14 days.
Secured access
Our infrastructure is based on 2 Datacenters geographically distributed in Switzerland (Fribourg DUN TIER III and Lausanne BRN TIER IV). Security is ensured by business-class firewall clusters.
FastStorage
This type of cost-effective SAN storage uses a technology that offers an excellent price/performance ratio based on a mix of SAS 10K and SSD disks. Technologies : SAS/NL-SAS
Customization
Each vServer can be customized with additional memory, vCPU, SAN storage, without bandwidth limitation to meet your particular requirements.
100% Green Electricity
The electricity in our Datacenter comes from 100% renewable energy. 99.8% Swiss hydroelectric power and 0.2% solar energy. We contribute to the development of renewable energies.
Monitoring & infrastructure management
This system allows our technicians to be immediately informed in the event of a component or service failure and to quickly identify the problem, diagnose and make repairs.
Our data storage infrastructure is based on multiple Hitachi SAN VSPs (100% Data Availability by Hitachi) that use Hitachi Dynamic Tieringm technology, which recalculates data block usage every 24 hours and transfers it to a lower or higher tier (disk group). Storage on Flash FMD (Hitachi Accelerated Flash Storage), FMD is a technology about 25%-30% more powerful than SSD, it has ASIC NAND processors integrated in the flash, this avoids overloading the disk controllers of the SAN. The most powerful storage in the world today is the Hitachi VSP G5000 SAN which uses this technology.
